It has been a long standing tradition in the American Legion nationwide to support the youth of America.  The purpose of The American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship Program entitled "A Constitutional Speech Contest" is to develop a deeper knowledge and appreciation of the Constitution of the United States on the part of high school students.

AT AREA CEMETERIES

It was a chilly, cold, yet sunny morning, temperatures in the lows 30's.

Members of  Wilkens-Cloues-Bigelow-Pearson Post 39, and Auxiliary Unit 39, American Legion, Warner, participated in the nationwide Wreaths Across America program on Sunday, December 18, 2011.

This ceremony was also held in conjunction with the one at the New Hampshire Veterans' Cemetery in Boscawen. Members of the group included:  Charlie Trowbridge, Post 39 Commander, Paul Violette, John Godkin, Bob Godkin and Sandy Trowbridge.
